Fiorentina and AC Milan's visionary Portuguese playmaker — one of the most technically gifted attacking midfielders of the 1990s.
Rui Costa was one of the most elegant and creative midfielders of the late 1990s and early 2000s. His ability to pick a pass, dribble in tight spaces and drive forward with purpose made him the cornerstone of Fiorentina's attractive football and Milan's Champions League campaign. He won 94 Portugal caps and was named in the 1996 European Championship Team of the Tournament.
He is now President of Benfica — the club where he began his career.
